Financial assistance in amount of 100.000 US dollars will be sent by the Government of Macedonia for the victims of Haiti’s devastating earthquake.
Government spokesman Martin Martinovski told reporters that in addition to this decision, the Government has also decided to offer medical team to join international medical crews that are currently operating there. As a result, the Ministry of Health is in charge to contact international organisations, such as the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, etc, to offer the assistance. Macedonia’s medical team, which might include three to five members, could be sent as soon as necessary information are obtained.
