Turkey, Macedonia sign additional protocol April 20, 2010

Turkey and Macedonia signed an additional protocol in the Turkish capital of Ankara on Tuesday.

Turkish Labor and Social Security Minister Omer Dincer and Macedonian Ambassador in Ankara Melpomeni Korneti signed “additional administrative protocol” on implementation of Social Security Agreement between the two countries.

Delivering a speech in the signing ceremony, Dincer said, “we signed Social Security Agreement with Macedonia in 1998. It took effect in 2000. But an administrative protocol on implementation of the agreement has not been prepared.”

Dincer said today Turkish and Macedonian parties signed the additional administrative agreement and they would handle social security issues more effectively thanks to the administrative agreement.
