We really strive for NATO and EU integration, Branko Crvenkovski, former Macedonian President and chairman of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, said at a press conference.
“We, as an opposition party, persuade PM GRuevski to find a solution to the name dispute,” he said.
He noted the young Republic of Macedonia was implementing a destructive economic policy. He said the administration was politicized and there was populism and an attempt to control the media, which resulted in a change in the interethnic relations.
Right now Macedonia is pursuing a policy without a strategy, he said.
Crvenkovski said Macedonia would never forget Bulgaria.
Bulgaria was the first country to recognize Macedonia’s name. Bulgaria has never been Macedonia’s enemy, he said.
