Turkey’s state minister for the European Union (EU) and chief negotiator arrived in Skopje, Macedonia early on Friday on a two-day formal visit.
Egemen Bagis will be the guest of Vasko Naumovski, the deputy prime minister for European integration, during his stay in Macedonia.
Bagis will begin his talks in Skopje on Friday, and first have a meeting with Naumovski. Their meeting will be followed by a joint press conference.
Egemen Bagis will later have talks with Kenan Hasip, the Macedonian co-chair of Turkish-Macedonian Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Peter Poparsov, the head of the Macedonian Parliamentary Committee on European Affairs.
Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov will receive Bagis in the afternoon, and Bagis will meet Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki and give a conference on integration with the EU.
Bagis is expected to depart from Macedonia on Saturday after visiting several historical places and an ophthalmic hospital.
